Many animals are used in testing. The most commonly used animal is the mouse. But what many people don't realize is that along with the mouse many animals like dogs, cats, monkeys and rabbits are also killed in testing.

Something many people also don't know is that if the animal is not killed in the testing process then the scientists usually kill the animal afterwards. They do this because the animal is no longer of use to them.
